Barn fire killed more than one million bees, officials say
A barn fire outside Hartsville last month killed approximately 1.2 million bees that were being kept in 24 beehives, officials said.
The Darlington County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the April 24 blaze in the 2500 block of North Center Road, according to reports. The fire destroyed a pole barn.
