Bethesda Baptist Church gets historical marker

A historical marker was unveiled on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Bethesda Baptist Church, 208 Church St., in Society Hill. A moving service and historical tribute of the church was related. In its history, the church has been burned and rebuilt 3 times. On hand for the celebration were Rep. Robert Williams (left), Senator Gerald Malloy (right), Society Hill Mayor Dwayne Duke, Society Hill Town Councilwoman Melissa Burch, Darlington County Historical Commission and Museum Director Brian Gandy, as well as Bethesda Pastor Mircin R.
