As NASCAR rolls into Darlington, one car has goals beyond winning a race. It aims to help thousands of Americans find stable, well-paying jobs in South Carolina and beyond while enhancing the nation’s defense.

Roush Fenway Keselowski (RFK) Racing and BlueForge Alliance (BFA) will showcase the #CarWithAMission during the NASCAR Cup Series’ Cook Out Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway on September 3.

BFA’s BuildSubmarines.com will be featured on Chris Buescher’s No. 17 Ford, spotlighting how South Carolinians can get on the fast track to desirable careers within the U.S. Navy’s Submarine Industrial Base (SIB). Buescher is currently fourth in the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series playoff standings.

The critical effort to build our nation’s next generation of submarines in a changing global landscape requires hiring tens of thousands of Americans over the next decade and will have a direct and positive impact on the South Carolina region:

·        BuildSubmarines.com features hundreds of career opportunities in the region available right now.

·        There are approximately 150 Submarine Industrial Base suppliers in South Carolina.

·        More than 15 trade and technical schools in the South Carolina region stand ready to train the next generation of skilled workers.

·        Trades include pipe fitting, additive manufacturing, welding, CNC machining, and metrology.
