Darlington City Manager disburses SCGA grants
On Monday, April 24th, City of Darlington Manager John Payne disbursed $50,000 in checks to local organizations as part of the money which was given to the City by the S.C. General Appropriations (SCGA) Bill.

One person is dead after a fatal crash in Darlington County on Saturday morning, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol reports.
Two arrested in gambling investigation
Agents with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Thomas Bernard Langston, 68, of Lamar, SC, on Thursday, April 20, 2023, with one count of Gambling/Unlawful games and betting, and 10 counts of Gambling/Unlawful possession/operation of a slot, video,vending machine, or gambling device.
