Center Baptist Church celebrated the 35th anniversary for Pastor Jackie Boyd and First Lady, Joyce Boyd during a special service on Sunday, June 12th in Timmonsville.
Pastor Jackie Boyd is the son of the late Reverend James and Mary Boyd from Andrews South Carolina. He received Gods calling to teach at the age of 16 where he later received his education at Morris College and has received degrees from Central Carolina Technical College and the Southern Baptist Seminary in Nashville TN. He then carried out Gods calling over South Carolina with 57 years of experience in preaching Gods word.
Over the course of his career, Boyd has baptized and saved over 300 people, established the brotherhood YWA, membership classes, praise and worship ministries and has led in many more groups within the church and other religious organizations!
Boyd is grateful for all the love and support he has received from the congregation and from his loving wife.
The congregation of Center Baptist Church held a beautiful service thanking Jackie and Joyce Boyd for all the hard work, dedication, and service he has given over the past 35 years. Guest speaker, Bishop Joseph Stringfellow, from Emmanuel Chapel Baptist Church in Chester, delivered the message for the service.
Pastor Boyd is blessed for all of Gods gifts and hopes for many more years of service to the Lord.
