Center Baptist Church celebrates Senior Citizens Day

Center Baptist Church honored their Senior Citizens on Sunday, October 16th. The church was founded in 1905 by Wilson Brown, Nat Brown and Jessie Holmes. Located at 3420 Sally Hill Road, the church held a special Senior Citizens Day service with rousing and uplifting gospel music, an inspirational message from guest speaker, Reverend Doctor Norman Gamble, and by recognizing the winners of the costume contest at the Masquerade Ball, which was held on Saturday, October 8th. The winners of the Masquerate Ball Costume Contest, held on Saturday, October 8th, were announced during the Senior Citizens Day celebrations at Center Baptist Church. They are (from left to right): 3rd Place Winner Georganna Brooks, 2nd Place Winner Elaine Williams, 4th Place Winner Church Trustee Sonny Hickman and 1st Place Winner Cheryl Hickman.
