City of Darlington interviews candidates for City Manager job

The Mayor and City Council of Darlington are currently interviewing six candidates for the position of City Manager. The previous City Manager, John Payne, stepped down from the job this past spring and the office has been filled by Bill Taylor as Interim City Manager.

The Council has decided upon six candidates to choose from. They began conducting interviews last night and will continue this week.

The candidates for the position are: former City employee Lisa Bailey of Darlington, Daniel Gerald of Spring Lake, NC, Lenessa Hawkins of Lake City, Camilla Moore of Atlanta, GA, Gregory Saxton of Goose Creek, SC, and RuJon Williams of Darlington.

We would like to wish them all well. We are sure that the leaders of Darlington will choose the best candidate for the job.
