Darlington Falcons lose to Richland Northeast

The Darlington Falcons had their season opener at the Falcons Nest Friday night against Richland NorthEast. This game was far more than what everyone expected. Number 62, Bo Andrews says the team used their practice time wisely in the week leading up to the game. They came into the stadium with a roar from the crowd and starting quarterback Tyrone Perkins leading them out of the locker room. They put up a fight but were beaten 29-7. Kicked off at 7:30, the game was scoreless in the 1st quarter with a fumble by Richland NorthEast. Unable to score with it, they were forced to punt. Darlington continued to regain possession and fumble it over to Richland NorthEast. They were unable to score with the recovery. Lightning struck in the area and everyone was forced out of the stadium. The game resumed after around 30 minutes. Tensions were very high as a brawl started, causing the Falcons to lose 30 yards. Darlington quarterback Tyrone Perkins was sacked putting Richland NorthEast on the board right before halftime with a safety. The 4th quarter came and Darlington was still scoreless with Richland NorthEast having a total of 29 points on the board. Darlington gained possession and with a powerful break away of #1 quarterback Tyrone Perkins, Darlington was on the board with the score 29-7. Darlington will play again Friday night at the Falcons Nest against Timmonsville at 7:30 for a non region game. Will the Falcons be victorious?
