DCDC Officer arrested with cocaine

Darlington County Detention Center (DCDC) Officer Jamie Brown has been arrested and charged with misconduct in office and possession of cocaine, according to the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office.
On Sunday, July 30, 2023, while on duty, Brown was found with a small package of cocaine. DCDC administration was contacted immediately and the S.C. State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) arrested him.
Darlington County Sheriff James B. Hudson Jr. said he will not tolerate this kind of behavior and any officers who engage in this type of behavior will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law just as any member of the public.
