DCHS Food Drive held

On Wednesday, July 26, 2023, there was a Darlington County Humane Society Food Drive held at the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO), at 1621 Harry Byrd Highway. Sponsored by Chewy, the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office and County Councilmember Angie Godbold, the event drew a huge crowd. Those in need of dog food, cat food, bird seed, cat litter and other items, were able to drive through and have the products loaded by DCSO personnel and volunteers, without ever having to leave their vehicles.
