DCSO hosts Junior Leadership Academy 2023
The Darlington County Sheriff’s Department will be holding a Darlington County Junior Leadership Academy 2023 every Wednesday from October 4th through December 13th. It is for youngsters aged 10 to 13. It is a 13 week program, there will be 1-2 hour classes, and they will take place from 5pm to 7pm at the Butler Heritage Foundation, 1103 S. Sixth Street, in Hartsville. There is NO COST for the program.
The curriculum will concentrate on building character, there will be DCSO Special Teams, a vehicle day, courses in how to save a life, what to do at a crime scene, courses in leadership, an anti-drug program, health and fitness training, fire department demonstrations and an awards ceremony. The dates for the classes will be (all on Wednesdays) — October 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th, November 1st, 8th, 15th, and 29th, and December 6th and 13th.
