Fatal collision in Darlington
A fatal collision occurred at approximately 9:25pm on Sunday, July 29, 2023 on East McIver Rd., near Palmetto Heights Drive in Darlington. According to Lance Cpl. Nick Pye, a 1990 Nissan Pickup with one occupant and a lone bicyclist were both travelling east when the pickup struck the bicyclist. The driver of the pickup was not injured. The cyclist was transported to a local hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries. For more information on the deceased, please contact Darlington County Coroner J.
