Fatal crash in Darlington County
In an unfortunate incident which unfolded in Darlington County, South Carolina, County Coroner J. Todd Hardee has confirmed the loss of one life due to a fatal crash that occurred on Monday afternoon, September 4, 2023. The incident took place on Auburn School Road. Hardee was present at the scene of the accident but could not provide any further details regarding the incident at the time. According to Master Trooper Brandon Bolt, representing the South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP), the accident involved a 2001 Chevrolet SUV that was traveling in a southern direction on Auburn School Road. Tragically, the vehicle struck a ditch and overturned, resulting in the death of its sole occupant, the driver.
