Hartsville defeats Wilson 28-14 in Oct. 22 Homecoming game

Friday, October 22nd, the Hartsville Redfoxes took on the Wilson tigers in a football skirmish in Hartsville for the 2021 homecoming game. The first quarter saw a strong Redfox defense as the visitors pushed for a touchdown with no luck. Hartsville’s offense took the opportunities given and landed a touchdown over Wilson for a 7-point lead over Wilson into the start of the second quarter. Like the first quarter, Hartsville’s defense held off the Tigers from making any scores in the second quarter and returned yet another touchdown and field goal for a 14-point lead over the Wilson Tigers at the start of halftime. At the start of the second half, the Redfoxes expanded their lead over the Wilson Tigers after they scored 2 additional touchdowns over the visitors for a 28-0 lead into the 4th quarter. Hartsville’s defense held strong until the final quarter when Wilson’s offense was able to add 2 touchdowns to the scoreboard. However, those 2 touchdowns were not enough to catch up to Hartsville’s significant lead. By the end of the game, the Hartsville Redfoxes defeated the Wilson Tigers 28-14. Enjoy a Friday football game and show support for your local High School football teams!
