Hartsville Red Foxes defeated 47-14 in Myrtle Beach game

On Friday, October 8th, the Hartsville Red Foxes suffered a 47 – 14 loss against the Myrtle Beach Seahawks in a varsity football action. Hartsville faced a strong defense from Myrtle Beach throughout Friday night’s game but still managed to score a few touchdowns. The first quarter gave the Red Foxes hope as both teams pushed for a 7-7-point tie. the second quarter, however, changed the mood of the game for the Red Foxes when Myrtle Beach placed 2 touchdowns and a field goal for a 26 – 7 lead over the visiting Red Foxes. Hartsville’s defense began to improve after halftime slowing down the Seahawk’s offense. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to stop them from placing an additional touchdown over Hartsville. After the third quarter the Seahawks led the Red Foxes 33-7. The fourth quarter saw an extra push from both teams. Hartsville scored their second touchdown over the Seahawks, but the defense could hold Myrtle beach from landing 2 last touchdowns. By the end of the final quarter, Myrtle Beach had won 47 -14 over the Hartsville Red Foxes. Hartsville will play away against South Florence on Friday October 15th.
