Hartsville’s Dixie Youth 8U Softball Team headed for World Series

Hartsville’s Dixie Youth 8U Softball Team State Champions are headed to the World Series in Prince George, VA on July 23rd. Hartsville went undefeated 5-0 in the state tournament, outscoring their opponents 90-5. Played Jefferson for championship game. Won in a walkoff HR (over the fence) by Olvia Talbert (her second of the tournament) in the 5th inning, winning 11-0. They also outscored their opponents 164-33 overall in district and state combined. This is Head Coach Richie Wallace’s second time headed to the World Series (back-to-back years).
