Inmate found dead at county jail
An inmate at the Darlington County jail was found dead early Monday morning, officials said.
The inmate was found unresponsive inside a cell at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center.
Sheriff Tony Chavis has requested the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division handle the investigation. No more details were immediately available at press time.
