Lady Red Foxes triumphant over Lady Falcons in 48-37 victory

Wednesday, Feb. 2, the Darlington Lady Falcons played the Hartsville Lady Red Foxes in a varsity basketball conference game in Hartsville.
Both teams started the first quarter strong with Hartsville leading by 12 points and Darlington closely behind with 10 points.
It wasn’t until the second quarter that the Lady Red Foxes turned up the heat against their rival. Hartsville scored 17 points while the Lady Falcons contributed 6. By halftime, the Lady Red Foxes were well ahead of the Falcons 29-16.
At the start of the second half, the Lady Falcons challenged the Red Foxes with another close scoring quarter, however, Hartsville still managed to hold control until the final quarter.
With Hartsville leading 43 to 27 at the start of the final quarter, the Lady Falcons pushed hard to bridge the gap. Darlington doubled the scores over Hartsville by adding 10 to Hartsville’s 5; however, it wasn’t enough to be victorious. By the end of the game, The Hartsville Lady Red Foxes were victorious 48 to 37 over the Darlington Lady Falcons.
