Lake View shuts out Lamar 11-0
The Lake View Lady Wild Gators shut out the Lamar Lady Silver Foxes 11-0 in the run-ruled 5-inning game played in Lamar on Wednesday, April 27.
Lake View placed 3 runs on the scoreboard in the top of the first inning to take a 3-0 lead. In the top of the second inning, the Lady Wild Gators added 2 runs. The bats for both teams were quiet in the third inning as neither team could muster a score. Lake View’s bats must have come alive in the top of the fourth inning as the Lady Wild Gators placed 5 runs on the scoreboard. In the top of the fifth inning, a run crossed home plate for Lake View.
Lake View’s Raven Locklear pitched the 5-inning game and struck out 11, walked no one, and allowed no hits or runs.
Lamar’s A. McManus was charged with the loss. She pitched 3.2 innings and allowed 9 hits, 10 runs of which 9 were earned, struck out 1, and walked 7.
Lake View’s Zandasia McNeil had a triple, a double, a single, and a rbi in her 4 at-bats. Spivey Evans had 3 singles and 2 rbi in her 4 at-bats. Baylee Miller had 2 singles and 3 rbi in her 3 at-bats. Raven Locklear had a double, a single, and 2 rbi in her 3 at-bats.
Lake View committed an error in the game while Lamar did not commit an error.
