Man arrested for kidnapping, beating woman
A Darlington man was arrested for allegedly kidnapping a woman and beating her, after the Darlington police were called to the Waffle House on Monday, July 17, 2023.
Saven Terrell Parrott, 38 of Lee Street, Darlington, was arrested on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, and charged with first degree assault and battery, kidnapping, and point-ing a gun at a person.
According to police reports, a victim was allegedly being held against her will by a man later identified as Parrott.
A Waffle House employee told officers that an unidentified person picked the vic-tim up before the police arrived.
The victim’s brother arrived at the Waffle House. According to the report, he and investigators tried several times to get in contact with the victim but were unsuc-cessful.
According to the warrants, Darlington police officer went to a home in the 200 block of Lee Street in Darlington and there were no lights on at the residence.
The report shows that an investigator was informed that the victim was safe and had returned to Florence with a friend.
The victim alleges that Parrott assaulted her at his residence, striking her several times in the mouth and face.
Parrot was being held at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center with no bond.
