Municipal Association recognizes Hartsville
For the second time in three years, the city of Hartsville’s work with its Neptune Island waterpark has been honored by the Municipal Association of South Carolina. The city is being recognized for efforts to develop leadership and teamwork skills among the 200 or so mostly young people who work at the waterpark. Lauren Baker, a spokeswoman for the city of Hartsville, said Neptune Island is the biggest employer of youths in the Pee Dee.
