McCollough’s love affair with books began during her early childhood. As a toddler, she was captivated by the magic of storytelling and immersed herself in the pages of countless books. Her mother’s pursuit of higher education at Coker College in 2004 provided McCollough with ample opportunities to spend time at the Hartsville Memorial Library. With the completion of her Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design in 2022, McCollough was equipped with the skills necessary to make a meaningful impact in the marketing world. However, it was her unwavering dedication and the desire to effect positive change that set her apart from her peers.

In assuming the role of Marketing Director for the Darlington County Library System, McCollough brings with her a vision of transforming the library into a refuge for the community. She believes that libraries should be more than mere repositories of books; they should serve as welcoming spaces that foster learning, creativity, and connection.
