Papa John’s Pizza presents donation to Darlington Downtown Revitalization Association

(Right to left) Carmen Chambers, co-owner of the Darlington Papa John’s Pizza franchise, presents Darlington Downtown Revitalization Association (DDRA) executive director Lisa Rock and board member Carolyn Abbott with a donation from the restaurant’s Eat for Change fundraising campaign, which was held at the beginning of August. Rock says that Chambers and husband Ted Woloscyk (restaurant co-owner) have made a real effort to integrate their restaurant into local events since they took over the franchise in April.

“We are excited that we have a new business that is interested in the community and downtown. As soon as they came to town, they joined DDRA and they’ve participated in our events like the Bringing Downtown Alive concerts as a vendor, and now they’re holding these events for us to raise additional funds for programs and events,” says Rock. “It’s great seeing a business get involved this way and show that they understand being a small town business owner means being a part of that community.”
