The Camden Bulldogs visited the Hartsville Red Foxes at Kellytown Stadium Friday night. The Red Foxes won the opening coin toss but decided to give the Bulldogs the ball, allowing for a great performance from the defense to stop Camden’s opening drive. Hartsville scored on their first offensive possession thanks to Senior Running Back, Carmello McDaniel. Shortly after an interception caught by Red Fox Safety Damarion Cole, another rushing touchdown came for Hartsville, courtesy of Running Back Hakeem Watters. Though Camden was able to bring the ball into the red zone and bring in a rushing touchdown, The Red Foxes responded with another rushing touchdown from Carmello McDaniel, bringing the score to 20-6 in the first quarter alone. The second quarter continued this dominant performance from the Red Foxes’ offense as both Carmello McDaniel and Quarterback McKendrie Douglas scored rushing touchdowns. Paired with the extra points, the score was 34-6 in favor of Hartsville going into Halftime. The third quarter was headlined by the continued dominance from Carmello McDaniel, who rushed for another two touchdowns. Camden was able to respond with a 72-yard Touchdown pass but the writing was on the wall concerning the game’s outcome. In the final quarter, the two teams exchanged touchdowns. The final score was 55-21 in favor of Hartsville. Their run game, led by MVP of the game Carmello McDaniel, was unstoppable. The Red Foxes defense was also dominant with highlight plays coming from a multitude of players. Hartsville remains undefeated after scoring 55 points in each game played this season, and the team travels to Dillion to face the undefeated Wildcats next.
