SINGLE-CAR COLLISION RESULTS IN DEATH
Tragedy struck the community of Hartsville on Tuesday morning as a man lost his life in a single-vehicle crash in Darlington County. The incident unfolded on Oates Highway, approximately five miles north of Lamar.
Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee has identified the man as Terrance Cabbagestalk, 43, of Hartsville. Mr. Cabbagestalk lost control of his vehicle around 9:00 a.m. on November 28, 2023. It was a single-car collision, and no other persons were involved. South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that Cabbagestalk’s vehicle overturned after veering off the right side of the road.
First responders rushed to the scene and promptly transported him to Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, where, despite efforts to save him, Cabbagestalk succumbed to his injuries.
