Society Hill holds Catfish Festival

CATFISH FESTIVAL DRAWS HUGE CROWD! — The Town of Society Hill held its Annual Catfish Festival at the Society Hill Depot on Main Street on Saturday, Sept. 16th. Dozens of vendors, tables and booths were set up and offered a huge multitude of items for sale, including tshirts, toys, fragrances, jewelry, and many other items. There was a parade down Main Street, from St. David’s School to The Depot, which included city and county officials, beauty queens, first responders and other notables. PHOTO BY STEPHAN DREW

Hundreds of people showed up for the Annual Catfish Festival in Society Hill on Saturday, Sept. 16th. In addition to apparel, craft items and toys, there was delicious food from a multitude of vendors, serving catfish stew and rice, fried catfish, bbq chicken, bbq pork, and so many other foods.
