A Dedication and Ribbon Cutting were held at the Addiction Recovery Center, 404 W. Freight Road (formerly Campt Sexton) in Florence, SC, on Thursday, June 8, 2023. The center , part of House of Hope, has been funded by the generous donations of Central United Methodist Church in Florence, as well as other private individual contributions. Bryan Braddock, CEO of House of Hope, thanked everyone for their tremendous effort in seeing that this dream became a reality. He also gave special thanks to the members of Central UMC for the many hours of time and labor they gave taking care of the site. The property was purchased for $1.2 million in August of 2022 and over $400,000 of “good dirt” had to be brought in for the project. The center will house addicts who are struggling to recover and counselors will be present to help them get their lives back in order. PHOTO BY STEPHAN DREW
