Teacher arrested for assaulting child

A substitute teacher in Darlington County is accused of assaulting a 9-year-old student. Taneshia Lisbon was arrested on September 8th and charged with third-degree assault and battery, following an incident at Thornwell Elementary School in Hartsville.

The trouble began when a concerned mother reported that her child had been struck by a substitute teacher during recess. The school’s principal promptly alerted the police, leading to an investigation. Surveillance footage revealed disturbing evidence of the incident.

In the video, Taneshia Lisbon was seen initially sitting at a picnic table, only to rise and approach the student. Shockingly, she proceeded to strike the child on the buttocks multiple times. Furthermore, the footage captured her forcibly moving the student back to the picnic table.
