The Trinity Collegiate Titans defeated the visiting Ben Lippen Falcons 10-4 in a varsity Baseball skirmish Tuesday, April 20, in Darlington. The first run was scored at the bottom of the 1st inning by Trinity Senior Caleb Rogers after a sacrifice fly by from Dalton Moody. The second inning was quiet until the bottom of the third when Trinity completed 4 runs bringing the score 5-0. Ben Lippen made their first run of the game at the top of the 4th but their score was soon lost by the Titans’ own run at the bottom of the inning. The outcome of the game became inevitable at the bottom of the 5th when the Titans added an additional 4 runs to the board. The visiting Falcons added 3 additional runs to the board by the 7th inning leaving the final score 10-4 with the Titans victorious. After the game, Trinity head baseball coach Mike Rogers said that he was very proud of how his team swung and that his defense had shown improvement and played very well. Pitcher Lucas Morgan pitched most of the game until the bottom of the 6th inning when he was replaced by Cameron Jordan. Lucas pitched 3K, 2 walks, and gave up 5 hits. Cameron had 1 batter and 1 out. Coach Rogers also showed excitement for his pitchers saying, “I am very proud of Lucas for pitching the whole game.” The lead hitters for the game were Jacob Adams and Cam Rheuark both with 3 hits followed by Caleb Rogers and Cameron Jordan with 2 hits each. Enjoy a night out and show support for your local high school teams!
