Trinity girls’ basketball coach leaving

Cornelius Snead, Trinity Collegiate’s girls’ basketball coach, is leaving the school to serve as athletic director and girls’ basketball coach at St. Margaret’s School in Virginia.
Trinity said that Snead, since coming to Trinity Collegiate in 2020, has had a lasting impact on the girls’ basketball program.
He has been undefeated in the region for two consecutive years. His teams have consistently appeared in state semifinal games. This year, his program has reached No. 1 in the state as ranked by Max Preps. Several of his athletes have been recruited to play at the collegiate level.
Snead has always emphasized the importance of strong fundamentals and truly getting to know your team. He builds a program that helps his athletes play to their strengths and full potential. Snead has worked to create a competitive and well-rounded team. Snead said of his time at Trinity, “I have been very fortunate to coach very talented players and know they will continue to excel.”
Snead said, “I am excited about the opportunity to work as an athletic director while still coaching and I am thankful for all the opportunities I had at Trinity.”
Trinity Athletic Director Jared Amell said, “Snead has been a great coach for us and we wish him all the best at St. Margaret’s.”
