Trinity Collegiate School has hired Taylor Watford as its new varsity softball coach.
Watford is a 2018 graduate of Hartsville High School, where she played on the varsity softball team for five years, including the 2017 team that won state.
She is a D1 SEC athlete, having played at Ole Miss, where she majored in general studies with a dual minor in criminal justice and secondary education: history. While at Ole Miss, Watford and her team won the Super Regionals, the step below the College World Series.
After the COVID pandemic, she transferred to the University of Alabama, Birmingham, where the team finished second at the Conference Tournament.
