Trinity’s JV Softball Team makes school history

Trinity Collegiate School’s JV softball team made school history recently, winning the SCISA Preseason Dugout Tournament at Palmetto Park in Sumter. Tournament director Phil Poston remarked that it was the first time that two first-time schools had taken both the JV and Varsity championships. The girls went 4-1 against Carolina Academy, Wilson Hall and Laurence Manning Academy. They scored 36 runs and allowed 13 over five games. The Trinity softball team is made up of 13 student athletes, ranging from 7th grade to 10th grade. Coached by Jason Rowsey, Don Bouchard, Taylor Watford and Chris Riddle, these players have blossomed into the premier JV SCISA softball team in the Pee Dee region. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
