Woman: Criminals used Facebook Marketplace to set her up for robbery
A Darlington County woman reported being robbed Jan. 31 as she arrived to pick up something she’d bought on Facebook Marketplace, according to local media reports. The woman, 21, said her fiancé and 1-year-old son were in the car with her when she went to an address in the Swift Creek area outside Hartsville to pick up a gaming device she bought online, according to reports. She said men pulled guns on her and demanded money. The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
